Adamas against Neuroblastoma

Hello everyone, my name is Egle, and I’m a mum of a wonderful almost 3-year-old superboy whose name is Adamas.
Adamas was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer ( when a solid 13 cm big tumor has been found around his left kidney) back in July 2022 at only 14 months old and Adamas has been fighting ever since. 5 cycles of Chemo and very complicated 11 hours surgery to remove his left kidney who’s been wrapped with a tumor took place in November 2022.
Unfortunately, post-op routine scans showed that the tumor was growing back from the cancer cells that had been left around his main blood vessels during the surgery. So we started a new 2023 year with a very intensive treatment induction chemotherapy, high dose of chemotherapy, steam cells transplant, 12 cycles of radiotherapy, and immunotherapy…
Very unfortunate but having another routine scan in February 2024, a PET CT scan showed a new 3 cm big tumor in his abdomen area, another surgery to get tumor removed, after all the tests we find out that there is some cancer cells modification called NYCM, doesn’t give a good prognosis that this cancer can’t be beaten by any more treatments that hospital has to offer.
And more likely it will return if nothing going to get done. The only big hope is to get Adamas for a clinical trial that takes place in Rome called CAR-T but it’s not funded by the national health service and has to be paid by parents.
The trials cost at least 300.000€ which is just a crazy amount of money for any of us, but it is crucial and can help to save Adama’s life.
